What the Drop Bear Dash is
The Drop Bear Dash is a charity raffle run by the Rotary Club of Narrandera to fund the preservation of koalas in Narrandera. By buying a raffle entry, you agree to these terms.
What you are buying
Each raffle entry costs $5 and is placed against one chosen bear in one chosen race. Entries are counted separately for each bear and each race. If you back two bears, you hold two separate stakes.
How placings are decided
Placings are decided by the livestreamed races on Saturday 19 September 2026 from 2:00pm AEST. The declared race results are final.
What a top-three finish pays
For each race, your cash payout is a multiple of what you spent on raffle entries for that bear in that race.
- 1st place - 3x your money back
- 2nd place - 2x your money back
- 3rd place - your money back
4th or worse - no payout. Every entrant holding raffle entries on a top-three bear is paid; nobody is selected from a draw. Worked example: $20 backed → $60 / $40 / $20.
How you are paid
Cash payouts are made in Australian dollars by bank transfer to an Australian bank account in the entrant’s own name after the official results are confirmed. You must be 18 or older to enter and to be paid.

The broadcast and public fundraising campaign welcome a worldwide audience; this does not itself determine who is eligible to buy raffle entries. Entrants must be 18 or older.

The raffle is conducted by the Rotary Club of Narrandera under the NSW Community Gaming Act 2018.
Refunds
See the refund policy. In short: entries are donations to a registered charity and not refundable except where required by law.
Liability
The Rotary Club of Narrandera is not liable for delays caused by payment processors, email delivery, or factors outside our control.
The Crew Cup - free bonus promotion
The Crew Cup is a separate, free promotion run alongside the raffle. No purchase is necessary and no purchase improves your chance of winning: crew points are earned from sharing activity alone, and every 10 crew points earns one ticket in the free promotion.
Open to entrants 18+. One account per person. Points are awarded for what your personal link verifiably delivers - unique visitors (de-duplicated per person per day), list sign-ups and backings - plus one-off achievement badges. Clicks on your own link do not count. Automated, purchased or otherwise manipulated activity voids all crew points and entries at the organiser's discretion. Daily caps and anti-fraud damping apply.
You are never required to post publicly, tag anyone, or share to a timeline to enter.
Prestige badges celebrate backers but never award points - tickets can only be earned free. Point badges come only from sharing, link outcomes and engagement.
Crew Cup tickets are not raffle entries, are not sold, are non-transferable, and have no cash value. The Crew Cup did not affect race results or cash payouts. One recipient was selected at random, weighted by tickets held, after the last race on Saturday 19 September 2026.
