Is this legal?
Yes. The Drop Bear Dash is a charity raffle conducted by the Rotary Club of Narrandera under the NSW Community Gaming Act 2018. Every entry supports the cause. Every backer of a bear that finishes 1st, 2nd or 3rd receives the applicable cash payout on their stake in that bear for that race. Nobody is selected from a draw.
What does a top-three finish pay?
Each entry cost $5. Prizes were a multiple of what a backer spent on that bear in that race.
- 1st place - 3x your money back
- 2nd place - 2x your money back
- 3rd place - your money back
4th or worse - no payout. So $20 backed → $60 / $40 / $20. Your stake counts per race and per bear. Prizes are paid in Australian dollars by bank transfer to an Australian account in the winner’s name after the official results are confirmed. 18+.

Where does the money go?
Rotary Narrandera directs funds to koala preservation work in Narrandera - the September count, colony monitoring, habitat and welfare on the Murrumbidgee.
How are results announced?
Results were declared on the broadcast and are published on the homepage. Backers owed cash were contacted by email. The four races ran at 2:00pm, 2:15pm (Race 2 - The Bundy Run), 2:30pm and 2:45pm AEST. All twenty bears ran in every race.
Who could enter?
Entrants had to be 18+. Direct donations remain open to everyone worldwide. Full eligibility details are in the Terms.
How did sharing work?
Supporters shared personal links to earn free Crew Cup points, collector-card upgrades, Crew Wall spots and badges. The Crew Cup was separate from race results and cash payouts.
